Max Ferguson has carved himself an interesting niche in the photographic industry since graduating from the BA programme. Upon graduating he founded the successful Splash and Grab magazine, which led him toward a position as both curator and picture editor. He currently works as director of photography for Port Magazine, and as a freelance picture editor for Financial Times Weekend Magazine.
About UWE’s photography course Max said “it was drilled into us not to be pigeonholed into making work we didn’t like, which really taught me to have personal work at the centre of my practice. For me that’s mainly been about making my own magazine, but the same goes for taking photographs.”
